Police update 1: Homicide investigation, Annerley

Police have charged a 24-year-old woman with murder following the death of a man in Annerley overnight.

Officers were called to a Junction Terrace address shortly before midnight following reports of an alleged assault.

On arrival, a 24-year-old man was discovered on the footpath with life threatening injuries, and despite efforts from emergency services, he was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A crime scene was declared, and specialist officers are working at the site throughout the day.

An Annerley woman was charged with murder and will appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court later today.

Investigators are appealing for anyone who saw a man and woman walking together, or separately, along Junction Terrace and Ipswich Road between 6pm and midnight last night to contact police.

Anyone in the area with CCTV or dashcam is also urged to come forward.
