Police update 1: Sexual assault charges and appeal for information on Stafford

North Brisbane detectives investigating the alleged sexual assault of two woman at Stafford have charged a 14-year-old local boy.

Police will allege that on two different occasions, one on November 13 and the second January 17, young women aged 19 and 20 respectively were walking alone along Stafford Road, Stafford when they were grabbed by a teenage boy.

The woman managed to break free on both occasions and alert police. Neither were physically injured however naturally were very distressed.

On January 21 detectives from Hendra Criminal Investigation Branch issued a Notice to Appear in the Brisbane Children's Court to a 14-year-old boy for two counts of sexual assault and one of wilful exposure.

Both alleged incidents occurred on Stafford Road, Stafford between 7.15 and 7.35pm while the woman were walking by themselves.

This investigation is on-going with detectives appealing for anyone who travelled along Stafford Road between October 2022 and January 21, 2023, especially woman out walking in the above timeframes, who may have relevant or additional information to contact them.
