Police update 1: Shooting incident at Coominya

Proceedings have commenced against three men following investigations into a shooting incident in Coominya earlier this month.

On April 8, police were called just after 11am to Rocky Gully Road following reports shots fired were heard in the area.

It will be alleged upon arrival officers located a 32-year-old man with gunshot wounds.

First aid was provided before the man was airlifted to hospital in a serious condition.

On April 27, following extensive investigations by detectives from the Ipswich Criminal Investigation Branch, a 23-year-old Regency Downs man, a 35-year-old Flagstone man and a 32-year-old Lowood man were arrested.

They have each been charged with one count each of attempted murder and will appear before Ipswich Magistrates Court on May 30.

All three men remain in custody.
