Bundaberg Child Protection and Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man following investigations into the 2024 death of a baby in Bundaberg West.
It will be alleged at 5.18pm on 24 February, 2024 a baby boy was transported to Bundaberg Hospital before being airlifted to the Queensland Children's Hospital on February 27.
The boy passed away in hospital on 3 March, 2024.
Following extensive investigations police have charged a 22-year-old Bundaberg West (now Kalkie) man.
The 22-year-old has been charged with one count each of murder (domestic violence) and torture (domestic violence).
He is expected to appear in the Bundaberg Magistrates Court on Monday, 29 June.
