Police update 1: vision released - hit and run, Loganlea

Logan police investigating a hit and run at Loganlea yesterday (Sunday, December 13) which left a man with serious injuries have released vision of a male motorcycle rider who may be able to assist with their investigations.

The 57-year-old victim was transported to hospital with a broken jaw, broken and missing teeth and a broken leg.

Anyone who recognises the trail bike or has any information in relation to the male rider is urged to contact police (details below).

The motorcycle is described as a white and black trailbike.

The rider was male, believed to be aged in his early 20s, Caucasian, with brown hair and wearing a white helmet and green poncho.

The motorcycle was last seen travelling on to Short Street and heading towards Allora Street.

Evergreen Park is situated in Short Street with the incident occurring adjacent to the dog park and along the pedestrian path, approximately 100m from Short Street.

The injured man had been with his wife and walking their dog at the time of the incident.

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a hit and run in Loganlea yesterday afternoon.

Preliminary investigations indicate at 5.30pm a 57-year-old Loganlea man was walking his dog in Evergreen Park.

Police will allege at the same time, an off-road motorcycle was driving dangerous throughout the park, causing damage.

The 57-year-old man approached the driver of the motorcycle, who then after a verbal altercation deliberately drove into the man.

The 57-year-old was transported to Logan Hospital with a suspected fractured right leg.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have information or footage of an off-road motorcycle driving dangerously in the Loganlea area this afternoon to contact police.

Investigations are continuing.
