Police Update 1: Wounding, Albany Creek

Update: Police have charged a teenager following investigations into a wounding incident in Albany Creek on Thursday, 13 August.

At 8.15pm police were called to Albany Creek Road following reports of an altercation between two teenage boys who were known to each other.

During the altercation, a 17-year-old Albany Creek boy allegedly stabbed a 16-year-old Petrie boy with a knife.

The 16-year-old boy was transported to hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.

Upon arrival, a 17-year-old Albany Creek boy was arrested, and has now been charged with one count each of wounding and unlawful possession of weapon category M.

He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear in Brisbane Children's Court tomorrow, 17 August.
