Police Update 2: Fatal Traffic Crash At Burpengary

Police have charged a 65-year-old man after a fatal vehicle and pedestrian traffic crash in Burpengary on March 20.

A Ford Falcon was travelling northbound on the Bruce Highway Eastern Service Road before it allegedly struck a 93-year-old man around 9.20am.

The 93-year-old Burpengary East man was transported to hospital but later passed away from his injuries on March 24.

The driver of the Ford, a 65-year-old Bray Park man, was not injured.

He was charged on April 10 with one count of drive without reasonable consideration for other persons using road or place causing death.

He is due to reappear in Caboolture Magistrates Court on July 2.
