Police update 2: Serious crash at Bli Bli

Sunshine Coast Police have charged a man with an additional offence after a 12-year-old boy died from injuries sustained in a crash at Bli Bli on September 3.

The 27-year-old Bli Bli man was initially served a notice to appear for drink driving after allegedly returning a reading of 0.069.

The Forensic Crash Unit has further charged him with Dangerous Operation of a motor vehicle causing death.

He is still due to appear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on October 30.
