Detectives from the Cairns Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) have charged a 42-year-old Frenchville man following a wounding incident in Manunda on 9 September, and a traffic crash near Livingstone, north of Rockhampton on 16 September.
It will be alleged around midnight on 9 September, the 42-year-old man and a 47-year-old Cooktown woman attended a Chester Court hotel and shot a 45-year-old Cairns North man in the leg before fleeing.
Just after midday on Tuesday, 16 September, police were called to a two-vehicle traffic crash involving a Holden Crewman utility and caravan on Kunwarara Road in Livingstone, north of Rockhampton.
Upon arrival, police located firearms and ammunition in the Holden.
The 47-year-old woman fled from the vehicle and was arrested in bushland nearby.
She was charged with acts intended to maim, armed robbery, unlawful possession of weapons, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, and four traffic-related offences.
She was remanded in custody to appear in the Rockhampton Magistrates Court on 12 November.
Following an appeal for public assistance, a 42-year-old Frenchville man was located in bushland near the location of the crash and taken into police custody around 10.30pm last night, 17 September.
He was charged with one count each of acts intended to maim, armed robbery, unlawful possession of a category A weapon, receiving tainted property, unlawful use of motor vehicles, and stealing.
He was remanded in custody and is due to appear in the Rockhampton Magistrates Court today, 18 September.
