Police update 3: Search continues for man missing in waters off Southport

Police will continue the search today for 54-year-old Anthony Schilperoort who went missing in waters off Southport since Sunday December 29.

Around 1.35pm on Sunday police were advised that a jetski belonging to Mr Schilperoort was found drifting in the Coral Sea, approximately 13kms east of the Southport seaway.

A search was commenced Sunday afternoon and continued throughout yesterday.

Today's search will again involve multiple vessels from the Queensland Water Police and other volunteer agencies.

Aerial assets including helicopters will also be part of the search today.
