Police update: Armed robbery, Berserker

Rockhampton detectives have charged two people in relation to the armed robbery of a bottle shop at Berserker last night.

It will be alleged two males entered the business on High Street around 7.30pm armed with a knife and a machete, approached the store attendant and demanded cash and alcohol.

The men fled the store with alcohol and a quantity of cash.

After information from the public, detectives located the two males in Glenmore and Norman Gardens this afternoon.

A 15-year-old Gracemere boy has been charged with one count each of armed robbery and wilful damage and four counts of stealing. He will appear in the Rockhampton Children's Court tomorrow, February 10.

A 22-year-old Berserker man has been charged with one count of armed robbery and will appear in the Rockhampton Magistrates Court tomorrow, February 10.
