Police update: Armed Robbery, Durack

Police investigating the armed robbery of a woman at Durack on Friday have released new CCTV footage as they continue to appeal for assistance in identifying the man involved.

At approximately 7.30am on April 15, a 30-year-old woman was walking on Outlook Place when approached by a man armed with a knife, forced to the ground, and had her handbag and phone stolen.

Detectives have released vision of the man and the vehicle he allegedly fled the scene in, a dark coloured Ford Falcon station wagon.

The same vehicle was involved in a fuel drive off from a service station at Johnson Road, Hillcrest about an hour before the robbery took place. The station wagon was fitted with stolen registration plates.

The man is described as being in his mid to late 20s, with a slim build, Caucasian and short dark hair.

In both incidents, he was wearing black shorts with two white stripes down the side, a dark coloured polo shirt and dark sneakers.

Investigators continue to appeal to anyone who may have information, dashcam, or CCTV footage from either incident from around 6:30 to 7.30am on Friday, April 15, to contact police.

Investigations are ongoing.
