Police update: Armed robbery, Rockhampton City

Rockhampton detectives have charged a man following an investigation into an armed robbery at a local supermarket in Rockhampton City last week.

Police will allege, around 3.50pm on Saturday, February 4, a man armed with a knife entered the George Street supermarket and threatened employees before stealing cash.

No one was physically injured, and the man fled on a scooter.

A 21-year-old Park Avenue man has been charged with one count of armed robbery and is due to appear in Rockhampton Magistrates Court tomorrow, February 13.
