Police update: Arson investigations at Gold Coast

Police have released vision of three people who may be able to assist with ongoing investigations into two deliberate fires that occurred in Arundel in June.

At approximately 3.30am on Saturday, June 24, a fire was started at a unit in a complex along Distribution Court.

Emergency services arrived and contained the blaze. Luckily, no one was injured as a result.

Police have released the below vision depicting one person they would like to speak to in relation to this incident.

Anyone with information about the person, the white Hyundai hatchback, or the incident, is urged to contact police.

Four days later, at approximately 3.30am on Wednesday, June 28, a second fire was started at a different unit within the same complex along Distribution Court.

Emergency services attended the fire with the property sustaining significant damage. Luckily, no one was injured.

Police have released the below vision depicting two persons they would like to speak to in relation to this incident.

Anyone with information about either person is urged to contact police.

Investigations into both fires remain ongoing. Police continue to investigate possible links between the incidents due to their proximity.
