A 32-year-old man who sustained critical injuries as a result of an alleged assault in Rockhampton last week has passed away.
Detectives are continuing their investigations and waiting on the results of an autopsy.
There is no further information available at this stage.

Detectives have charged a man after an altercation in Lakes Creek left one man in hospital.
Shortly before 10pm (28 January) two men, became involved in an altercation at a Mackay Street house.
It will be alleged one of the men used a wooden chair handle to hit the other man once in the head.
The man collapsed to the ground and emergency services where called by a witness.
A 35-year-old Lakes Creek man is currently assisting investigators and is expected to have his charges upgraded once the autopsy is completed.
