Police update: Assault, trespass - Woody Point

Three men have been charged following an incident in Woody Point last night.

It will be alleged, around 7.15pm, three men were reportedly walking along Oxley Avenue, shouting and jumping in and out of private gardens.

The trio then ran into the middle of the road towards a ridesharing vehicle and allegedly assaulted the occupants through the open passenger window.

The three men then allegedly approached a private residence, kicked in the door and entered the address before assaulting a man and woman, both aged 37.

A 25-year-old Clontarf man has been charged with three counts of assault occasioning bodily harm, two counts of wilful damage and one count each of public nuisance, common assault, entering a dwelling with intent by break, obstructing police, threatening violence and trespass.

A 33-year-old Capalaba man has been charged with three counts of assault occasioning bodily harm, two counts of wilful damage and one count each of public nuisance, entering a dwelling with intent by break and trespass.

A 26-year-old Clontarf man has been charged with two counts of wilful damage and one count each of assault occasioning bodily harm, public nuisance, threatening violence and trespass.

The three men are due to appear in Redcliffe Magistrates Court on October 8.

Investigators are appealing for anyone in the area who has dash cam or CCTV footage to contact police.
