Police update: Break and enter with violence, Coorparoo

Police have charged a man following an alleged break and enter involving the theft of two vehicles at Coorparoo on January 16.

Around 12am, it will be alleged three men armed with knives and an iron bar entered an address in Buena Vista Avenue and assaulted a 43-year-old man, who was treated at the scene for a minor back injury. The men allegedly fled the scene with cash, property and two vehicles.

A 22-year-old Nambour man has been charged with armed robbery; entering a dwelling with intent at night, threatening violence, armed; stealing; entering a dwelling with intent at night; and armed robbery. He is due to appear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court today.

Investigations are ongoing.
