Police update: Charges - Crime Series in Darwin

Northern Territory Police have arrested and charged one youth and three men in relation to a crime series that took place earlier this week around Darwin.

Detectives from Strike Force Trident and Serious Crime arrested the 17, 18 and 19-year-old males yesterday, and another 18 year-old-male was arrested today.

The 17-year-old was charged with:

  • 1 x Aggravated unlawful use of a motor vehicle
  • 1 x Aggravated robbery
  • 5 x Breach of bail

He was remanded to face court tomorrow.

An 18-year-old was charged with:

  • 1 x Aggravated unlawful use of a motor vehicle
  • 1 x Drive unlicensed
  • 1 x Drive under the influence
  • 1 x Drive high range
  • 1 x Breach of bail

He was remanded to face Darwin Local Court today.

The 19-year-old was charged with:

  • 1 x Stealing

He was remanded to face Darwin Local Court today.

The 18-year-old arrested today is expected to be charged with stealing.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Bland said, "Investigations and enquiries into these incidents are still ongoing. Serious Crime, Strike Force Trident and General Duties police will continue to work together to ensure we apprehend all who were involved in these senseless acts of violence."
