Police update: Death investigation at Morayfield

Police have released vision of three men who may be able to assist with investigations into the death of a man at Morayfield last month.

The body of 43-year-old Neil Bennett was located on January 19 in heavy vegetation near a creek on the northern side of Buchanan Road.

Investigations are underway to determine the circumstances surrounding Mr Bennett's death.

CCTV from January 11 depicts him running under the Sheep Station Creek Bridge towards Morayfield State High School carrying a black bag at around 6.30pm.

Police believe Mr Bennett came from the direction of the Morayfield Shopping Centre and he was wearing a "Popeye the Sailor Man" shirt which read "Welcome to the gun show" on the front.

Three men wearing orange hi-vis vests are seen running the same route behind him a short time later.

Police are appealing for the three men or anyone who may know their identity to come forward, as they may be able to provide vital information in relation to the case.

Anyone who may have lost or had a black bag stolen in the vicinity of the Morayfield Shopping Centre around 6.30pm on January 11 is also urged to speak with police.
