Police Update: Forest Lake Robbery Investigation

A third man has been charged following a robbery with violence at Forest Lake on Sunday (July 2).

It will be alleged around 5pm three men arrived at a Ballandean Court address and demanded the occupants hand over an e-scooter. When they refused an altercation occurred where the victims armed themselves with shovels and the men produced knives.

Three victims from the home sustained puncture wounds and were transported to hospital, one was seriously injured.

A dog residing at the property was allegedly stabbed during the incident and emergency vet treatment was sought, however later died from its injuries.

With the assistance of Polair, three men were taken into custody at nearby Pringle and Oldbury Place without incident.

A 21-year-old Redbank man has been charged with two counts each of wounding and attempted robbery with violence. He has also been charged with one count each of serious animal cruelty, attempt to enter premises, attempt to enter dwelling, attempted fraud, possession of counterfeit money and threatening violence. He is due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court today.

Two other men have previously been charged in relation to the matter.

Investigations continue and police call for witnesses with relevant dashcam or CCTV to come forward.
