Police update: High risk Crystal Brook incident

A man has been shot by police and two officers have been stabbed at Crystal Brook this morning.

At 10.15am on Wednesday 3 April, officers from Port Germain and Crystal Brook attended a home on Symons Street at Crystal Brook to conduct enquiries in relation to another matter.

While at the home an occupant allegedly stabbed the two officers where they both sustained serious injuries.

The man was then shot by police and he died at the scene.

The Port Germain police officer was air lifted to the Royal Adelaide Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

The Crystal Brook police officer was taken to Port Pirie Hospital where he will be airlifted to Royal Adelaide Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Major Crime Detectives, Forensic Response Section and Internal Investigation Section are attending the scene.

There is no further threat to the community.
