Police update: Homicide investigation, Craignish

Two people have been charged following investigations into the death of a 64-year-old man in Craignish on the night of August 15.

As part of Operation Tango Electra, detectives from the Homicide Investigation Unit and Maryborough Criminal Investigation Branch conducted extensive enquiries after the owner/caretaker of the Craignish Country Club on Pialba Burrum Heads Road, was located on August 16.

A 30-year-old man and a 25-year-old man, both from Loganlea, were taken into custody at Coomera on Saturday, August 21.

Both men were subsequently charged with murder and remanded in custody, they will appear at the Brisbane Magistrates court on tomorrow (23 August).

Investigations are ongoing and anyone with additional information which may be able to assist with investigations is urged to speak to police.
