Police update: Inquiries continue after pedestrian critically injured - Lalor Park

Inquiries continue after a pedestrian was found with critical injuries at Lalor Park today.

About 10.40am (Friday 24 May 2019), NSW Ambulance paramedics attended Patterson Road, after a 41-year-old man was found on the roadway suffering serious lower leg injuries.

He was treated at the scene before being taken to Westmead Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

Police were called and officers from Quakers Hill Police Area Command, assisted by officers from the Crash Investigation Unit, established a crime scene.

Investigations led police to a garbage truck depot in Rooty Hill where they spoke with a driver.

The 29-year-old man was arrested and taken to hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing.

He voluntarily attended Riverstone Police Station and spoke with investigators, and has since left as inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash continue.
