Police update: Man dies after being hit by utility – Epping

A man has died after being hit by a utility at Epping today.

About 9.30am (Monday 10 August 2020), emergency services were called to the M2 near the Beecroft Road off-ramp after reports a pedestrian had been hit by a utility.

Officers attached to Ryde Police Area Command attended and were told that a man, believed to be aged in his 30s, was attempting to retrieve some material off the road when he was hit by a white Mazda utility.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the man at the scene before he was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital where he was declared deceased.

Motorists are being advised to avoid the area.
