Police update: Missing swimmer at Sunshine Coast

Sunshine Coast Water Police have located the body of a 35-year-old man who went missing in waters near Mudjimba Island on May 6.

The man was holding onto the back of the jet ski when he disappeared.

Police resumed the search early today, utilising police divers in waters between Maroochydore River and Point Arkwright.

The man's body was located around 10am off Mudjimba Island.

Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
