Police have charged a man following a police-involved shooting in Arana Hills on 1 April.
Officers were initially called to an Akebia Street address for a welfare check.
Around 12.30pm, police were attempting to speak with an allegedly armed 19-year-old man at the address, when an altercation occurred, and he was subsequently shot.
Officers provided first aid at the scene, before the man was taken to hospital, where he currently remains in a stable condition.
Today, 8 April, investigators charged the man with three counts of serious assault police officer whilst is armed with a weapon and one count of serious assault public officer performing function whilst is armed with a weapon.
He is expected to face a bedside hearing today.
The matter is being investigated by the Ethical Standards Command with oversight by the Crime and Corruption Commission.
