Northern Territory Police have apprehended a 39-year-old man who absconded from Darwin Correctional Centre on 2 June 2019.
He was arrested around 2:00pm today in bushland off Elrundie Avenue following a short foot pursuit.
Police would like to thank the public for their assistance.
The man is expected to be charged later today and is expected to appear in Darwin Local Court tomorrow.
