Police update: PSPA revoked at Warwick

An emergency declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA) at Warwick has been revoked.

Specialist police entered the residence at approximately 8.15am, where a 38-year-old man was located deceased.

Police were called to a Wantley Street property at approximately 7.30pm last night, to reports a man was observed with a firearm.

No shots were fired, and no threats were made.

To ensure community safety, a PSPA declaration was made at approximately 10pm with an exclusion zone encompassing Wood Street, Gore Street, Grafton Street and Dragon Street.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.

The man's death is not being treated as suspicious.

The Ethical Standards Command will assist in investigations into the incident.
