Police Update: Robbery, Ashgrove

Indooroopilly Criminal Investigations Branch have charged three people following investigations into a robbery in Ashgrove on 20 April.

Just after 10pm a woman was walking on Coopers Camp Road, near Waterworks Road when she was allegedly chased by two females.

The pair caught up to the woman on Kinkade Avenue, where they allegedly stole her bag.

Police will further allege the woman was physically assaulted during the incident, causing minor injuries.

The duo subsequently fled in a white BMW which was driven by a third female.

The vehicle was not stolen.

This morning, 22 April, police arrested a 26-year-old Boondall woman, 16-year-old Zillmere girl, and 15-year-old Boondall girl at a Boondall address.

The 26-year-old has since been charged with two counts of stealing, and one count each of robbery in company – use physical violence and fail to dispose.

Her police bail has been refused, and she is expected to appear before Brisbane Magistrates Court today, 22 April.

The 16-year-old has been charged with four counts of stealing and one count of robbery in company – use physical violence.

The 15-year-old has been charged with one count each of robbery in company – use physical violence and stealing.

Both teenagers' police bail has been refused, and they are expected to appear before Brisbane Children's Court today, 22 April.

Some of the victim's property was recovered, and police are making arrangements to return it.

Investigations remain ongoing.
