Police have charged a man following the investigation into a shooting incident at Woodridge in July.
It will be alleged that just before 8pm on 28 July, a 30-year-old Browns Plains man was at an address on North Road when he became involved in an altercation with a 50-year-old Waterford West man, who was known to him.
It will be further alleged that during this altercation, the 50-year-old shot the 30-year-old in the leg.
A short time later, the injured man approached officers conducting routine patrols of North Road.
Officers applied first aid, and the man was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Following investigations, police arrested a man driving on Kingston Road at Slacks Creek around 11am yesterday.
A 50-year-old Waterford West man has now been charged with one count of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm.
He is scheduled to appear at the Beenleigh Magistrates Court today, 15 October.
