Police update: Single vehicle crash, Mango Hill

Police have charged a 37-year-old man in relation to a single vehicle crash involving a stolen police vehicle at Mango Hill this morning, October 3.

At approximately 3.20am, police were responding to reports of a man armed with a knife on Boundary Road at Narangba.

Officers confronted the man who allegedly left the scene in a police van.

The van subsequently crashed along Anzac Avenue at Mango Hill.

The man allegedly left on foot and was taken into custody nearby.

He was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The 37-year-old Moreton Bay man has been charged with two counts of obstruct police (public place adversely affected) and one count each of going armed so as to cause fear, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, unlicensed driving, dangerous operation of a vehicle while adversely affected by an intoxicating substance and wilful damage of police property.

He has been denied bail and is expected to appear before Pine Rivers Magistrates Court tomorrow, October 4.
