Police update: Strike Force Radius - Further charges laid

Police have now charged a 30-year-old man following investigations into the supply of methylamphetamine (ice) and illegal firearms in the state's New England region.

Strike Force Radius was formed in August 2018 by detectives from Oxley Police District, with assistance from the Target Action Group and Crime Management Unit, to investigate the supply of illicit drugs and firearms in Tamworth.

Following extensive inquiries, strike force detectives have now charged a total of nine people including the latest charging of a 30-year-old man for drug supply and participating in a criminal group.

He was refused bail and will appear before Tamworth Local Court tomorrow (Friday 31 May 2019).

During the operation saw police seize nine firearms, two tasers and other prohibited weapons, and 314 grams of ICE.

Investigations under Strike Force Radius are continuing.
