Police update: Suspicious fire at Rockhampton

Queensland Police have charged a man following investigations into a suspicious fire that destroyed a church in Rockhampton early this morning, August 27.

The 33-year-old Gympie man has been charged with arson.

He is due to appear in Rockhampton Magistrates Court tomorrow, August 28.

Detectives are still seeking to speak to anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area at the time of the fire or may have relevant vision that could assist the investigation to make contact.
