Police update: Suspicious house fire, Cannon Hill

Detectives from the Morningside Child Protection and Investigation Unit have charged two teenagers following an extensive investigation into a house fire at Cannon Hill on May 31.

Around 6pm emergency services were called to the abandoned structure on Wynnum Road and arrived to find it fully engulfed in flames.

Two boys aged 16 and 15 were charged with one count each of arson.

They will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act.

Investigators would like to extend their appreciation to members of the public for their involvement in the matter.
