Police update: Wounding, Coopers Plains

Police have charged a man following a wounding incident at Coopers Plains on Sunday, November 5.

A 45-year-old woman was walking on Orange Grove Road around 4.20pm, when she was approached by a man.

It will be alleged the man punched her in the stomach and cut her arm, before leaving the scene.

The woman was transported to the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The man is not known to the woman.

Yesterday, police located the 28-year-old man at his residence in Coopers Plains.

The man was charged with one count each of wounding, common assault, possession of explosive (ammunition) and possession of a drug utensil (grinder).

He will appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court today, November 8.
