Police update: Wounding incident, Bahrs Scrub

Detectives from Logan Criminal Investigation Branch have charged a 15-year-old boy after a man was allegedly stabbed during a break-and-enter at Bahrs Scrub in Logan earlier this month

It is alleged approximately 2.15pm on May 18, three people broke into a Bahrs Scrub Road home.

A 49-year-old man has attended the property and confronted the group before a physical altercation occurred in which it is alleged he sustained a stab wound to the stomach.

A waiting Ford Ranger, stolen from Algester on May 17, has then allegedly driven into the front of the home, causing damage.

The group have then entered the car and driven from the scene.

The 49-year-old man was transported to Logan Hospital in a stable condition.

A 15-year-old boy has been charged with acts intended to resist/prevent lawful arrest/detention, enter dwelling and commit, unlawful use of motor vehicle and assault occasioning bodily harm whilst armed/in company.

He has been remanded in custody to appear in Beenleigh Children's Court at a later date.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing.

Detectives continue to appeal to anyone with information, relevant CCTV or dashcam footage in the area at the time to come forward.
