Police vehicle rammed in Hastings

Police are investigating after their van was rammed by a vehicle in Hastings earlier this morning, Victoria Police say.

Officers attempted to intercept a black Holden Commodore after it failed to obey a stop sign on Hodgins Road about 2.30am.

The vehicle pulled over a short distance in front of police on Curacoa Drive, before reversing into the van and fleeing the scene.

It then continued travelling along Curacoa Drive.

No injuries were sustained by police officers.

The car was later located abandoned on Ovens Court and no arrests have yet been made.

Police are appealing for anyone with information or who witnessed the incident to contact Crime Stoppers.
