Police warning over dangerous behaviour at Mission Hill Overpass in Penguin, TAS

Police are requesting assistance from the public in relation to recent matters of dangerous behaviour occurring at Mission Hill overpass, Penguin, Tasmania Police say.

Police have received reports of recent incidents have occurred where items have been thrown from the overpass and hit vehicles travelling along the Bass Highway in both directions.

Details as follows:

On Saturday, 10 September 2016 at 8.10pm a vehicle travelling east was hit by a clump of dirt;

On Monday, 24 October 2016 at 6.15pm a vehicle travelling west was hit by a rock; and

On Thursday, 17 November 2016 at 8.43pm a vehicle travelling on the highway was hit by a rock.

Whilst the vehicles were damaged and no one was injured, Police would like to remind people that this type of behaviour is extremely dangerous for motorists and is an offence.
