Pompey Reveal 2025/26 Third Kit with UoP Design Input

Pompey are set to stand out on the road this season with the launch of the eye-catching 2025/26 third kit - a bold Volt design with a sublimated black print, finished with matching detailing on the cuffs, collar and side panels.

Crafted by Nike with innovative sweat-wicking fabric that pulls moisture from the skin to the garment's outer layer, the shirt is built for performance and comfort, featuring mesh back and side panels for maximum airflow.

As part of Nike's 'Move to Zero' sustainability initiative, each shirt is made from 100% recycled polyester. Volt shorts and socks complete the vibrant look for the season ahead.

But this launch is not just about the kit - it is a collaboration of Portsmouth creativity and community.

The campaign imagery was captured inside the University of Portsmouth's cutting-edge Centre for Creative and Immersive XR (CCIXR) , a state-of-the-art facility at the forefront of digital innovation. The project brought together a team of university experts to digitise Pompey's third kit using cutting-edge photogrammetry technology. After scanning and refining the data, a fully digital version of the shirt was produced - transforming the physical into the virtual.

This was then brought to life by ILOVEDUST, a world-renowned creative agency based also in Portsmouth. Known for their bold, vibrant, and boundary-pushing design work, ILOVEDUST have collaborated with some of the biggest brands globally - and now, with their hometown club.

Toby Beale, Business Manager from the Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries at the University of Portsmouth, said: "It was a real pleasure to work alongside ILOVEDUST and Portsmouth Football Club, to bring to life their latest third shirt to present to the football supporters and the city itself.

"We're fortunate to have an incredibly close relationship with the club, as one of their long standing sponsors. It's great to put our skill sets and technology to good use - especially for something like this.

"The team here at CCIXR did an incredible job of digitising the shirt, utilising Photogrammetry technology and some computer wizardry, to allow ILOVEDUST to bring the shirt to life in the way they did."

Adding a final homegrown flourish, the soundtrack features music by local artist and lifelong Pompey fan, Shadow Child. His track 'Say it Now' blends classic rave influences with contemporary dance, giving the shirt launch a distinct local energy.

From design to production, visuals to sound, this launch (with a difference) is Portsmouth through and through - a true reflection of the talent and innovation found in the city's community.

This project further highlights the innovation at CCIXR, the UK's first purpose-built facility for eXtended Reality (XR), which houses a rare collection of world-class technology under one roof, including a SmartStage®, Virtual Reality (VR) suite, volumetric video, and motion capture.
