Port Melbourne Aggravated Burglary

Port Phillip Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating an aggravated burglary in Port Melbourne on 18 March.

It's believed an unknown male entered the Heath Street property at about 3.15am.

The 77-year-old female resident, who is partially deaf, was asleep in a bedroom.

The offender entered the bedroom and stood over the victim with a knife.

The victim shouted at him and chased him out onto the street toward Raglan Street.

He managed to take a number of items including jewellery and electronics.

The victim ran to a neighbour who then alerted police.

Investigators have released CCTV of a man they wish to speak to.

He is perceived to be aged in his 20s, Indian/Sub Continental in appearance with a thin build.
