10 new COVID-19 cases have been recorded in the Northern Territory in the past 24 hours.
Two US Marines, males aged 20 and 26, who arrived as part of the Marine Rotational Force - Darwin on 12 and 14 April 2021 respectively, have tested positive for COVID-19. Both are asymptomatic.
Additionally, two females, aged 31 and 32, and four males, including an infant, a three, six, and 73 year-old, who arrived on the repatriation flight from Chennai on 15 April 2021 have tested positive for COVID-19.
The three and 73-year-old males, and 31-year-old female are asymptomatic, while the infant, six-year-old male and 32-year-old female are displaying mild symptoms.
Two females, aged 34 and 36 who arrived on the repatriation flights from New Delhi on 17 April 2021 have also tested positive for COVID-19.
The 36-year-old is asymptomatic, while the 34-year-old is displaying mild symptoms.
All 10 cases are under the care of the AUSMAT team at the NT Centre for National Resilience.
Since repatriation flights to the Northern Territory began on 23 October 2020:
- 6668 international arrivals have undertaken quarantine at the Howard Springs Centre for National Resilience.
- A total of 117 positive COVID-19 cases have been reported from international repatriation.
The total number of cases diagnosed in the Northern Territory is 160. All cases have been related to international or interstate travel, with no cases of community transmission.
