Predevelopment work to begin on Maryland Express Lanes

The Maryland Board of Public Works has voted to advance Phase 1 of the Maryland Express Lanes with the approval of the project's Phase P3 Agreement.

This important milestone along the project's approval pathway enables Accelerate Maryland Partners, led by Transurban and Macquarie Capital, to begin predevelopment work. During this time, the partnership will work alongside Maryland government and its communities and stakeholders to design a project that seeks to maximize travel benefits, while minimizing impacts to residents, drivers, and the environment.

Accelerate Maryland Partners is also progressing a competitive selection process for the project's Design and Construction (D&C) partner. A Request for Qualifications (RFQ) has been released to industry. Small, women and minority-owned businesses and other interested parties can stay connected here as events and opportunities are announced.
