Premier gives up before job is done

Tasmanian Labor
  • Liberals will privatise TAFE and cut opportunity for training and jobs
  • Health and housing waiting lists blow out again and among worst in the country
  • Premier manufactures instability to call an early election
  • The Premier gives up before the job is done
  • Labor is ready to fight the election with a clear plan to create jobs and invest in housing, health and infrastructure.

The question Tasmanians should be asking Peter Gutwein is why is he giving up before the job is done.

We know Peter Gutwein's only plan is a privatisation plan. What other bad news is he hiding from Tasmanians by calling an election a year early?

This election is a choice between an unstable government that has sabotaged itself and a strong and united Labor Party that is absolutely committed to making the lives of all Tasmanians better.

Peter Gutwein is panicked and running to an early election with the worst surgery waiting list in the country, a housing crisis and a savage privatisation agenda.

This is one of the most important periods in Tasmania's history as we recover from the Covid-19 pandemic. Peter Gutwein is giving up before the job is done.

The Liberals have not delivered on anything they promised at the last election and yet they are asking for another four years.

They don't have a plan for jobs – their only plan is privatisation.

Only Labor has a fully costed jobs plan and policies to make Tasmania a better and fairer place.
