Progress in joint Natural England and Environment Agency River Lugg prosecution

Mr John Price pleaded guilty to 7 charges brought against him at Kidderminster Magistrates Court in relation to unconsented work at Kingsland in Herefordshire in November 2020 and December 2021.

A spokesperson for Natural England and the Environment Agency said:

Natural England and the Environment Agency launched a joint prosecution against Mr John Price of Kingsland, Herefordshire, following an investigation into unconsented work at Kingsland, in November 2020 and December 2021.

The first hearing took place on Wednesday 18 May and the defendant entered a guilty plea to 7 charges, and the case was adjourned. Sentencing is likely to be later this year.

Natural England and the Environment Agency take their roles in protecting the environment seriously and will use their enforcement powers to take robust action against those who ignore the law.
