"Prometheus" star cast in "Spider-Man: Homecoming"

- "Prometheus" star Logan Marshall-Green is in talks to join "Spider-Man: Homecoming" in a villainous role, sources confirmed to Variety.

Tom Holland plays the titular superhero and Robert Downey Jr. is set to reprise his role as Tony Stark — aka Iron Man.

Jon Watts is directing Sony and Marvel’s reboot of the "Spider-Man" franchise. Marisa Tomei will portray Aunt May and Zendaya is also on board in a mystery role. Tony Revolori, who starred opposite Ralph Fiennes in "The Grand Budapest Hotel," and Laura Harrier, who appeared on the soap opera "One Life to Live," have also joined the cast.

Plot details are still being heavily guarded

Kevin Feige is producing with Amy Pascal. Production is expected to start this summer with the film hitting theaters on July 7, 2017.

Marshall-Green most recently starred in Karyn Kusama’s horror-thriller "The Invitation." He is also toplining the Cinemax series "Quarry." He will next appear in the war film "Sand Castle," bowing next year, and the indie "Black Dog, Red Dog."
