Police have charged two people following a break-in at a Kawungan business this morning, 30 January.
Officers will allege that, before 3am, three stolen vehicles attended the Main Street business, before one of the vehicles forced entry, causing significant damage to the property and stock.
Several items of stock were stolen from the business before the vehicles then fled the area.
Officers were notified of the incident and located a blue Mazda3 sedan and a silver Mitsubishi Triton utility a short time later on Gilston Road, both of which are alleged to have been stolen from a residence on Quarterdeck Avenue, Pialba, shortly before the break-in.
Two men, a 20-year-old Maryborough man and an 18-year-old Wondunna man, were both located with the vehicles and were arrested.
The 20-year-old Maryborough man has been charged with seven offences including two counts of enter premises and commit and one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, possessing dangerous drugs and driving of motor vehicle without a driver licence.
He is due to appear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court tomorrow, 31 January.
The 18-year-old Wondunna man was charged with one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and is expected to appear in Hervey Bay Magistrates Court on 19 February.
A 17-year-old boy was also arrested at a Booral address this afternoon and is assisting with enquiries.
The third involved vehicle, a stolen white Mitsubishi Outlander, is yet to be located.
Investigations are ongoing.
