Police have charged two teenage boys after they allegedly broke into a caravan in Winston on Monday night, 4 August.
It will be alleged at 2.20am the boys entered the caravan on Little West Street. This disturbed the two people asleep inside and the boys then fled.
A police dog squad unit was deployed, and PD Disco successfully tracked the boys over approximately two kilometres, locating them in a yard in Simpson Street around 2.45am. It will be further alleged the boys had entered the Simpson Street house prior to being located by police.
A 13-year-old Pioneer boy has been charged with three counts of enter dwelling in company and three counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle. He is expected to appear in the Mount Isa Childrens court on August 12.
A 13-year-old Townview boy was dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act for two offences of enter dwelling and enter premises.
Investigations are ongoing.
