Property Crime Charges, South Brisbane

Detectives from Dutton Park Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) have arrested two teenage boys in relation to multiple property crime offences across Brisbane.

It is alleged a 15-year-old Cannon Hill boy was involved in a series of attempted burglaries, the unlawful use of motor vehicles (UUMV), and burglaries between 10 December and 26 December.

It is also alleged a 14-year-old Inala boy was involved in a series of attempted burglaries, the unlawful use of motor vehicles (UUMV), and burglaries between 20 December and 26 December.

These offences are alleged to have occurred across numerous addresses including Dahlia Street, Cannon Hill; Amy Street, Hawthorne; Hillview Street, Murarrie; Munce Place, Cannon Hill; Dudley Street, Annerley; Arc Street, Camp Hill; Ashton Street, Camp Hill; and Paxton Street, Holland Park.

Following extensive investigations, Dutton Park CIB detectives arrested the two teenage boys in Inala yesterday, 26 December.

The 15-year-old boy has been charged with 30 offences including 12 counts of enter dwelling and commit, eight counts of UUMV, four counts of attempted enter dwelling with intent, three counts of receiving tainted property, two counts of fraud dishonestly make off without paying, and one count of enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence.

The 14-year-old boy has been charged with eight offences including three counts of enter dwelling and commit, three counts of UUMV, and one count each of attempted enter dwelling with intent and receiving tainted property.

They are both expected to appear before Brisbane Children's Court today, 27 December.

Investigations into the property offences remain ongoing.
