Protect your pups! Police issue warning to working dog owners in Southern NSW

Police are warning the community to protect their pups with four working dogs stolen from properties in the state’s south, NSW Police say.

Officers from The Hume Police District’s Rural Crime Prevention Team are investigating after three separate dog thefts occurred in the Goulburn and Taralga areas over the past three weeks.

The precious pooches that were stolen include, an eight-month-old, yellow and white-coloured male Kelpie and three five-month-old red Kelpie puppies.

Two of the Kelpie puppies are male and have tan-coloured legs, while the third is female and has a white-coloured neck and front legs

Police are urging the rural community to be vigilant when looking after pets and to keep them safe and secure.

As inquiries continue, anyone with information, or who may be offered a pup for sale, is urged to come forward.
