Protecting Your Voice, Strengthening Your Future

17 February 2026. Niki Ford, AgForce CEO.

AgForce is making some important changes - and I want to explain clearly why they matter to you.

Over recent months, the Board has considered the findings of my 100 Day Review. The message was straightforward: our purpose is strong, our advocacy is valued, but the way we are structured needs to better reflect today's financial realities and the increasing complexity of the operating environment.

Queensland producers are facing sustained pressure - from regulation, land use competition, environmental reform, market volatility and rising costs. At a time like this, your peak body must be focused, disciplined and fully aligned to your priorities.

That is why we are implementing structural changes within AgForce.

In practical terms, we are simplifying how we operate, clarifying responsibilities and ensuring more of our effort is directed to frontline advocacy and member engagement. We are reducing duplication, strengthening financial oversight and making sure every dollar works harder for members.

This is not about stepping back. It is about sharpening our edge.

Our role remains clear: to represent Queensland's agricultural heartland - in regional communities, in Brisbane and in Canberra - and to ensure the voice of broadacre producers is heard where it counts. These changes are designed to ensure we can continue that work with credibility and impact.

I understand that organisational change can raise questions. But standing still is not an option if we are to remain strong and sustainable for the long term.

AgForce will continue to be the single, united voice for Queensland's producers. This realignment is about protecting that voice - and ensuring it remains influential, accountable and firmly focused on delivering outcomes for members.

At its core, this is about making sure your organisation is fit for the challenges ahead - and ready to back Queensland producers every step of the way.
